A new year, a new adventure, and eventually, a new honey crop

Claire and I are planning an exciting new book illustrating the interaction between the honey bee and the surrounding forage and wildlife in producing honey and other hive products. We'll be sharing our ideas and the progress of the project, alongside our inspiration from our gardens and the countryside around us, and our observations and efforts, planting and supporting our wildlife.

December's cold snap seems to have spurred the hellebores into getting ready to flower. And seeds from last year had begun germinating in the fridge, forgotten since last May.

Good to see something in the garden gearing up for spring already.
